Working Principle Of Mechanical Seal
Jan 01, 2025
The working principle of mechanical seal is to prevent fluid leakage by keeping a pair of end faces perpendicular to the axis of rotation in contact and sliding relative to each other under the action of fluid pressure and the elastic force (or magnetic force) of the compensation mechanism. This sealing method is commonly used in rotary fluid machinery such as pumps, compressors, and reaction stirring kettles, and is also used in occasions that require sealing, such as gearboxes and ship tail shafts.
